What is NomOS?
NomOS is a platform for governed AI in companies. People ask questions in the chat, and AI agents connect through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Both work with the same knowledge, the same rules, and the same decisions.
Three things set NomOS apart from an ordinary AI assistant:
- Rooms. Knowledge lives in rooms with an owner and a data class. NomOS, not the model, checks who may see what before every access.
- Rules and decisions. Rules and approved decisions belong to a room and also apply in the rooms below it.
- Evidence. Every answer and every action through NomOS leaves a record: which sources, which rules, which model, and who approved.
Models run behind a gateway. You can change them without losing rooms, rules, or evidence.
